A highlight of the museum is the National Firefighting Hall of Heroes, which honors American firefighters who have died in the line of duty. This includes tributes to first responders from 9/11 and other major incidents. For younger visitors, there’s an engaging play area where children can climb on vintage fire trucks, try out sirens and lights, participate in fire safety education, and enjoy interactive displays like a mini-theater and a fire safety house.
Located near Papago Park, the museum is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 AM to 6 PM and offers free parking. It’s wheelchair accessible and is designed to be both educational and family-friendly. Visitors typically spend one to two hours exploring the exhibits. The museum provides a unique experience that blends historical preservation, hands-on learning, and heartfelt tribute to those who have served in firefighting roles.
